North Node in the 7th House

The North Node in the seventh house asks for partnership: letting somebody else matter enough to change the plan.

The seventh house is the other person, in marriage, business and open opposition alike. The tradition reads this nodal position as growth through relationship rather than through self-sufficiency.

The South Node in the first is the familiar half: independence, self-reliance, and the ability to manage alone. That is a real strength and it is also the reflex that keeps other people at a workable distance.

It is associated with learning to negotiate rather than to decide, which is described as slower and less satisfying and as the actual work.

What this placement does well and what it costs

What it is good at

Anything done with somebody rather than for them. The placement is read as strong for genuine collaboration once the habit is built.

What it asks for

Compromise feels like loss when self-reliance is the familiar setting.

The two halves of this placement

A planet says what, a house says where in a life it happens. The sign it sits in says how, and that is a third reading again.

This placement needs your birth time

Your North Node sign depends only on the date. Its house depends on the horizon at the moment you were born, and the whole framework rotates by one house roughly every two hours. An hour of error moves about half a house, which is frequently the difference between this page and the one next to it.

If a free chart gave you houses without asking for a time, it assumed one, usually noon or midnight. Check the placement before you build anything on it.

Where is your North Node?

The chart is free, takes a birth time, and gives you every planet by sign and by house, with the aspects between them.
