♀ Venus · Angular house
Venus in the 7th House
Venus in the seventh house is the classical marriage placement: partnership as the thing that is valued most.
The seventh house is the one-to-one relationship and Venus is what attracts, so the tradition has read this as the strongest partnership indicator in the chart for as long as there have been houses.
It is associated with genuine talent for being in a relationship: fairness, willingness to accommodate, and an instinct for what a partnership needs. Also with attracting partners easily, which is a different thing from choosing well.
The traditional caution concerns harmony. This placement will pay a great deal for peace, and the price is not always visible until later.
What this placement does well and what it costs
What it is good at
Partnership in every sense, including business. Also law, agency, mediation and any work done in pairs.
What it asks for
Conceding to keep things pleasant, and a dislike of being alone that can drive the timing of decisions.
The two halves of this placement
A planet says what, a house says where in a life it happens. The sign it sits in says how, and that is a third reading again.
This placement needs your birth time
Your Venus sign depends only on the date. Its house depends on the horizon at the moment you were born, and the whole framework rotates by one house roughly every two hours. An hour of error moves about half a house, which is frequently the difference between this page and the one next to it.
If a free chart gave you houses without asking for a time, it assumed one, usually noon or midnight. Check the placement before you build anything on it.
Where is your Venus?
The chart is free, takes a birth time, and gives you every planet by sign and by house, with the aspects between them.
