The crab is a precise symbol. Hard outside, soft inside, moves sideways rather than straight at things, and carries its home on its back. All four are accurate. Young Cancer Suns tend to over-give and then feel unappreciated. The mature version has learned that care which removes someone's agency is not care.

Cancer Sun frequently does not feel like a "Sun sign" in the way Leo or Aries does. The identity is quieter and more relational, and often expressed through the people it looks after rather than through anything self-declaring.

Moon in Cancer: the emotional life

Emotional life here is deep, tidal, and enormously receptive.
