Rising and setting lines are curves, because where a planet sits on the horizon depends on your latitude as well as your longitude. They stop where the planet becomes circumpolar, never rising or never setting from that far north or south.

Within about 120 km a line is read as fully in effect. Out to roughly 240 km it still reads as present. Past 650 km there is nothing worth saying. Those are our published bands, and they are on the tool itself rather than kept private.
Bear in mind that a birth time rounded to the nearest half hour moves every line by around 800 km: considerably more than the width of the strongest band. The accuracy of your time matters more than the precision of any interpretation on this page.
